ICE indicated that its last known locations are between Tijuana, Baja California, and Los Angeles, California.
“Omar Guillermo Cuen Lugo is a former Mexican federal police officer wanted for coordinating cocaine trafficking from the Sinaloa Cartel to the United States,” the agency said in a statement posted on social media, where it also published a photograph of the former agent and set up a telephone line to receive anonymous complaints to help locate and capture him.
According to authorities, Cuen Lugo allegedly served simultaneously as a police officer and operator of the criminal group in the north of the country, in charge of receiving shipments of cocaine and marijuana in Sinaloa for subsequent transfer to US territory.
The former police officer has already been arrested on at least two occasions. In 2010 he was captured by local authorities in Baja California in possession of more than 2,200 doses of cocaine, as well as firearms and useful cartridges.
