Santo Domingo.-The National Police recovered the vehicle owned by the victims that was used by the attackers to flee after the murder of a couple that occurred early this Sunday in the Tireo municipal districtin the Constanza de La Vega municipality, as part of the investigations being carried out together with the Public Ministry.
According to the preliminary report, after committing the crime, those responsible escaped aboard a truck. Toyota Hilux 4×4, white, year 2023, license plate L473239, belonging to the victims, which has already been located and is in the custody of the authorities for investigation purposes.
The incident took place in the marquee of a residence located on José A. Durán Street, where they were found dead. Luis Manuel Batista Zapata55 years old, and his partner María Magdalena Páez Jerez35, both with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the survey carried out at the scene.

The first investigations establish that the couple was intercepted by still unidentified people. At the scene of the incident, Scientific Police technicians collected various evidence that are part of the investigative process.
The National Police reported that the case remains under investigation and that more details will be provided as the investigations progress.
