The National Police, through the Investigation Division (DICRIM) of Constanza, in coordination with the Public Ministry, investigates the death of a couple who were shot by unknown persons in the early hours of this Sunday, January 18, in the municipal district of Tireo, Constanza, La Vega province.
The event occurred in the marquee of a residence located on José A. Durán Street, where they were found dead. Luis Manuel Batista Zapata, 55, and his girlfriend María Magdalena Páez Jerez, 35, both with multiple wounds from a firearm projectile, according to the survey carried out by the authorities.
According to the preliminary report, people in the investigation process intercepted the victims.

The preliminary report indicates that the attackers fled the scene aboard the vehicle in which the victims were traveling: Toyota Hilux 4×4, white, year 2023, license plate L473239. Said vehicle has already been recovered as part of the investigative process.
At the scene, Scientific Police technicians collected evidence as part of the investigative process.
The authorities reported that the case is under investigation, and that more details will be offered as the investigations progress.
