The acting president Delcy Rodríguez announced new changes in the structure of the Bolivarian Government, appointing three holders in strategic areas.
In the Ministry of Popular Power for Communication and Information, the philosopher, writer and communicator, Miguel Pérez Pirela, was appointed, who will contribute his academic training and experience in the communication field “to strengthen the defense of the truth of Venezuela.”
Likewise, Freddy Ñáñez leaves the communications portfolio to assume the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, “with the task of promoting public policies aimed at environmental protection and the preservation of Pachamama,” Rodríguez pointed out.
Finally, Vice Admiral Aníbal Coronado was appointed as the new head of the Ministry of Popular Power for Transportation, replacing Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, whom Rodríguez thanked for his commitment and management at the head of the portfolio.
He also announced the merger of the Popular Power ministries of Industries and National Production and National Commerce, important portfolios for the economic advancement of the country. Recent cabinet changes
It should be noted that these announcements are added to the adjustments made in recent days by the president in chargewhen he had appointed Aníbal Coronado as Minister for Ecosocialism, replacing Ricardo Molina who had been in charge of this office since February 2025.
On the other hand, the president in charge announced the appointment of Captain Juan Escalona as the new minister of the Office of the Presidency.

Strengthen key areas of the Executive
Rodríguez has indicated that the modifications seek to reinforce key areas of the Executive in a context marked by the defense of sovereignty and attention to the social and economic demands of the country.
The information was disseminated through the official accounts of the president in charge on social networks, where she highlighted the importance of these appointments to provide continuity to public policies and strengthen government management in the areas of communication, ecosocialism and transportation.
