The president of the republic, José Jerí, held a work day in the Huancavelica region, within the framework of the Executive Branch’s commitment to tour the regions of the country to meet the main demands of the population.
In the province of Acobamba, the head of state participated in a civic ceremony in Plaza Sucre, where he led the raising of the national flag and the singing of the anthem, as part of the actions aimed at reinforcing national identity.
The agenda continued at the Acobamba Provincial Hospital, where Jerí held meetings with medical staff and patients to learn about the needs of the establishment.
In this context, he expressed his willingness to promote measures that will accelerate processes aimed at closing gaps in health care in the region.
“We have to get things on track. Huancavelica has a lot of potential. At different times we have discussed it: both the Government and Congress, in what we have left of time, we must ensure the decisions that are necessary so that Huancavelica can take off,” Jerí expressed.
