The district of Sausa, in the province of Jauja, faces the ravages of intense rains that left five homes completely damaged and three more affected, affecting a total of 28 people. Faced with the emergency, the Regional Government of Junín, through the Civil Defense Deputy Management, provided immediate support to the affected families.
The victims received humanitarian aid consisting of corrugated board, plywood, mattresses, folding beds, drums, kitchen utensils, personal hygiene kits, blankets and basic food items. Additionally, four motor pumps were provided to facilitate water drainage and reduce additional risks.
The deputy manager of Civil Defense, José Vásquez Loaiza, supervised the care work, recorded the damage and coordinated actions with the District Municipality of Sausa to continue assisting families who still require support.
The authorities urge the population to remain alert in the face of continued rain and warn that the rainy season could generate new risks in the area.
