Successful debut in the local medium-term debt market

Banco BCI completed its first medium-term debt issue (three years) in the local Peruvian market with outstanding results, marking a relevant milestone in its funding strategy and deepening its presence in the country.

The operation, carried out through an issue aimed at the general public, reached a placed amount of S/77.8 million (approximately US$25 million), with a demand equivalent to 1.6 times the initial range, which shows the strong interest of investors.

The bond, issued in soles, has an issue date of January 15, 2026 and maturity on January 15, 2029, with an issuance rate of 5%, corresponding to a spread on the Peruvian government debt of 80 basis points, reflecting competitive financial conditions and a positive perception of the entity’s credit risk.

The bank highlighted that this result confirms the market’s confidence in Bci’s financial solidity and its value proposition in Peru.

“This first issuance of medium-term debt represents a milestone for BCI in the Peruvian market. The financial conditions achieved and the high demand received reflect the confidence of investors in the bank, in our financial management and in our long-term commitment to the country. We will continue working to energize the local capital market and offer solid and attractive alternatives to investors,” said Javier Swayne, Finance and Treasury Manager of Banco BCI Perú.

With this placement, BCI not only diversifies its financing sources, but also reaffirms its commitment to actively contribute to the development and deepening of the Peruvian capital market, in a context where trust and stability are key to sustained growth.
