The conquest of two awards at the Golden Globeslast Sunday (11), caused an increase in the presence of The Secret Agent in cinemas in Brazil. Director Kleber Mendonça Filho celebrated the measure in social media. 
“THE Secret Agent has been in 320 cinemas in Brazil since this Thursday [15]a direct effect of the two Golden Globes. The film had 20,000 viewers a day again, it was doing around 5,000. 11th week on display, 3rd month of release. I saw a video of Cinema São Luiz in Fortaleza packed yesterday. Thank you!” he said.
The feature film starring Wagner Moura was showing in around 137 theaters. More than 1.2 million viewers have already watched the film.
THE Secret Agent won two Golden Globe trophies last week, for Best Film in a Non-English Language and Best Actor in a Drama, for Wagner Moura.
The film is pre-nominated for an Oscar and this week voters at the Hollywood Film Academy choose the productions that will compete for the statuette. The expectation is that The Secret Agent enter the categories of Best International Film, Best Casting Direction and Best Actor.
The list of nominees will be released on January 22nd.
