From the tribune of the Permanent Commission, Morena and allies reproached the opposition for encouraging external interventionist aspirations instead of joining efforts in defense of national sovereignty, and the response of the PRI and PAN was that everything is the responsibility of the federal government for its failed strategy against drug trafficking.

For more than two hours, the cherries defended the achievements of the 4T in the face of opposition criticism. “The country-selling vultures of the Prian “They have been betting on the fall of the economy for seven years,” said Morenoist senator Beatriz Mojica Morga.

He argued that despite the progress in a development model that prioritizes the most vulnerable, and that 13 million Mexicans have been lifted out of poverty, the opposition “wants things to go badly for the country.”

However, representative Patricia Jiménez (PAN) maintained that the lack of results in the fight against organized crime has given rise to Mexico presenting itself as an overwhelmed country and a risk for the United States.

The “supposed containment of violence” is not such, he said; “Failed security policies are what have opened the doors to interference speeches.”

Meanwhile, her counterpart Ana Isabel González (PRI), rejected that her party is in favor of a United States intervention in Mexico, but, she noted, “we cannot be at odds with our main trading partner” and there must be cooperation on the issue of organized crime.

The coordinator of the PT deputies, Reginaldo Sandoval Flores, pointed out to the opponents that the global rearrangement of the power blocs has the country in a difficult situation, and asked for “an effort of unity, as patriots, and not opening spaces for the aspirations of interventionism. “Let those who say that it is time reflect well. The insecurity they allude to comes from the neoliberal model,” he noted.

Senator Juanita Guerra (PVEM) warned that the new National Security Strategy has indeed produced results, as demonstrated by the national reduction in intentional homicides by 40 percent, between September 2024 and 2025.

PAN members and PRI members insisted on their criticism and on the demand that a monitoring commission be formed to follow up on the Interoceanic Train accident. They placed an allusive sign under the tribune and from the PAN they made it clear that they will continue to support complaints from those affected before the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic and the Superior Audit Office of the Federation.

PRI senator Anabel Ávalos maintained that “defending sovereignty is not instilling fear in the people with a possible invasion.” american”, and the best thing is to address the problems of violence caused by drug cartels.

PT deputy Magdalena Núñez Monreal reminded them of Vicente Guerrero’s phrase, inscribed on the premises: “The country comes first.”

During the long session, the anniversary of the birth of Martin Luther King, leader of the civil rights movement in the United States, was commemorated.
