Motorcycle sales in the country in 2025 were the highest recorded since 2003. 2,197,851 units were sold last yearone increase of 17.1% compared to 2024 (1,876,427 units).
The second year with the most sales was 2011 (1,940,543 units) and the third, 2008 (1,925,558 units).
The data, released this Thursday (15), are from the Brazilian Association of Manufacturers of Motorcycles, Mopeds, Mopeds, Bicycles and Similar Products (Abraciclo).
“The sector’s performance reflects the growing demand for two-wheeled vehicles, driven mainly by urban mobility and professional use”, highlights the entity’s president, Marcos Bento.
Last year, 1,980,538 motorcycles were produced on assembly lines of manufacturers installed in Manaus, a volume 13.3% higher than that recorded in 2024. This was the best performance in the sector since 2011 and the third highest in the history of the national motorcycle industry, since 2003.
Exports ended 2025 with 43,117 motorcycles shippeda volume 39.1% higher than that recorded in the previous year.
Projections for 2026
Abraciclo estimates that production in 2026 should be approximately 2,070,000 motorcyclesa volume 4.5% higher than the 1,980,538 units manufactured in 2025.
The entity’s forecast is that 2,300,000 motorcycles will be sold in the country this year, an increase of 4.6% compared to the 2,197,851 units sold last year.
Exports, according to Abraciclo, should also increase. The entity estimates that 45,000 motorcycles will be destined for the foreign market in 2026, an increase of 4.4% compared to 2025.
“The projections indicate the consolidated growth of the segment in Brazil and reinforce the strategic role of the Manaus Industrial Hub, the largest two-wheel production hub outside Asia”, says the president of Abraciclo.
