Havana/The remains of the 32 Cuban soldiers who died in the US attack on Venezuela to capture Maduro landed after 7 in the morning on a Cubana de Aviación ATR 42-500 plane, where six military vehicles were waiting for them to be transported to the headquarters of the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
The reception ceremony was very brief, but surrounded by all the pomp expected for great occasions. Soldiers dressed in gala uniforms carried, one each, the urns with the remains of the deceased, all of them metal and covered with a Cuban flag.

At the foot of the plane were the former president and Army General Raúl Castro and the current president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, along with the rest of the Government and military authorities and the Communist Party.
With a military funeral march in the background, the Minister of the Interior, Lázaro Alberto Álvarez Casas, made his first speech praising the fallen and rejecting the words of the United States – which he referred to as “the enemy” – about “precision operations.” “We talk about faces,” he said, in the middle of a harangue that ended with shouts of “glory” and the usual “Until victory, always.”
The 32 ballot boxes were placed in the jeeps and are currently heading to the center of the capital along Rancho Boyeros Avenue.
