under the sky is the name of the exhibition that the Cuban artist Sergio Marrero inaugurated on December 26, 2025 in Mérida, Yucatán. Seven drawings mostly made with graphite on canvas that continue to delve into their proposal of making the languages of art and science converge.
His work intends for the viewer to be able to experience the emotion that the natural environment, the “observation on the ground,” motivated him by creating an artifact that is neither fiction nor reality, but quite the opposite: art, which, according to Sergio, allows him to “move away from immediate reality and enjoy that parallel place where logic is twisted and things reach another dimension.”

Sergio Marrero is a graduate of San Alejandro and Isa. His most recent exhibitions are: A butterfly in the fog2023 (La Nave Gallery, Havana); Letters for tomorrow2024 (bottle bottle with Reinaldo Cid, Galiano Gallery, Havana), and Notes from a shipwreck2025 (Kunsthall Gallery 3.14, Bergen, Norway).
