The zebra returned to the second knockout phase of the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. Late this Tuesday afternoon (13), one day after Corinthians were eliminated by Guarani, it was Atlético-MG’s turn to say goodbye to the competition. The Minas Gerais team, three times Copinha champion (1975, 1976 and 1983), was surprised by Ibrachina, who advanced to the third knockout stage with a 3-1 victory. The opponent in the search for a place in the round of 16 will be the winner of the clash between Audax-SP x Santo André, starting at 7pm (Brasilia time).
Playing at home, at the Ibrachina Arena, Dragão a Mooca opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, with an own goal from defender Vitor Gabriel, when he tried to deflect the ball. Two minutes earlier, he had already touched the ball with his hand and the referee had awarded a penalty. However, goalkeeper Pedro Costa shone, saving Enrico’s shot.
After the break, in the eighth minute, Erick tied the game with a beautiful free kick. Afterwards, the team from São Paulo prevailed in the match: they scored the second in the 22nd minute with a goal from Luiz Fernando, following an error in the ball; and Vicente sealed the 3-1 victory in stoppage time.

There was a rain of goals as Internacional qualified for the third phase. Colorado scored 4-0 at Retrô-PE, with two goals from Gutavo Ulguim and the rest from Eduardo and João Miranda. The team from Rio Grande do Sul will fight for a place in the round of 16 of the Copinha against Nacional-SP, who eliminated Juventus-SP today, by a score of 2-0.

Who also advanced with a 4-0 victory was Operário-PR over Independente-AP. Deodato opened the scoring in the first half, and after the break, Anthony, Rafael Nadal and Gabriel Cardozo also found the net. In the third phase, Fantasma will face the winner of São Paulo x Portuguesa, who will play from 8:30 pm this Tuesday.
Another three clashes close the second phase until the end of tonight: Fluminense x Reference-SP, Palmeiras x Vitória, and Botafogo x São José-SP.
