Puerto Plata, DR. – Members of the Navy of the Dominican Republic continue the search for a missing fisherman in the area known as The Bajos de la Platain the Atlantic Ocean, near the province of Puerto Plata.
The information was offered by the owner of the boat, Jorge Luis Arnaud Paredeswho indicated that he was contacted by the captain of the ship, Deiby Antonio Frometa Ovaezinforming him that the fisherman Pedro Dominguez He would have fallen into the water in the early hours of last Sunday, January 11.
According to the report, the incident occurred while the crew of the fishing vessel “LIBERATOR-I” He was preparing to start fishing. Immediately, the crew began search actions, without achieving positive results so far.

Extensive search operation
The Puerto Plata Captaincy of the Dominican Republic Navy was notified of the incident and activated a search plan that includes naval operations personnel, naval intelligence, surface units and an aircraft, with the aim of expanding coverage in the area.
Likewise, the Navy works in coordination with the Public Ministry and the National Police to develop the corresponding investigations and provide comprehensive support in locating the fisherman.
