The Judiciary of Huancayo sentenced Alex Villaverde Quilca (40) to nine years in effective prison, finding him responsible for the crime against the freedom and integrity of a minor, to the detriment of his niece, for events that occurred in 2019 when the girl was 10 years old.
The conviction was obtained by the Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Violence against Women and Members of the Family Group, after solid evidence was presented that proved the responsibility of the convicted person, including the testimony given by the victim in a protected environment, as well as other expert elements.
According to the prosecutor’s investigation, the incident occurred during a family meeting held at the now convicted man’s home. The minor was resting with other children when the adult entered the environment and committed the illegal act, generating a deep emotional impact that led her to remain silent for several years.
The case became known in 2023, when the teenager revealed what happened during health care, which allowed her mother to formalize the complaint. The court also ordered the payment of civil compensation of 10 thousand soles in favor of the injured party and ordered the immediate location and capture of the convicted person to serve his sentence.
