The bodies of the 32 Cuban soldiers who died during the United States attacks on Venezuela They will be repatriated this Thursday.
According to a statement from the island’s government, the remains of the combatants will arrive on Thursday morning at Havana’s international airport, where they will receive a posthumous tribute in a military ceremony.
Subsequently, they will be transferred to the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (Minfar), in the vicinity of the Plaza de la Revolución, where they will be displayed.
“During that journey, a representation of the people, concentrated on both sides of the road, will honor the fallen,” states the official communication.

From that day on, public access will be allowed and on Friday afternoon the bodies of the dead soldiers will be buried in the cemeteries for the Fallen for the Defense of their provinces. “All municipalities in the country will carry out acts of posthumous tribute,” the note states.
The Cuban Government also announced that on Friday there will also be a rally at the Anti-Imperialist Tribune, in front of the United States Embassy, after which a “March of the Combatant People will be held, as a reaffirmation of the commitment to the Homeland.”
Cubans fallen in Venezuela
One day after the attacks in Venezuela, the island’s Executive confirmed that 32 soldiers died in “combative actions” and “after fierce resistance in direct combat against the attackers or as a result of the bombings.”
In the US operation, around 100 people have died “so far”, including civilians, according to the authorities of the South American country.
Analysts, organizations and independent media have been pointing out for years that Maduro’s first personal security circle was made up mainly of Cubans, something that Caracas and Havana had never confirmed.

At the same time, Washington has intensified its rhetoric against Cuba and maintains that the Cuban government will fall without the support of Caracas. President Donald Trump himself warned on Sunday that the island would no longer receive any more money or oil from Venezuela and called on its authorities to reach an agreement with the United States “before it is too late.”
