“In my case, it was a type of loan (400, 500, 2,500 soles) to be deposited in the accounts of some relatives, with the supposed promise of repayment, but those amounts were never returned,” he said.
Similarly, Natalia Vásquez, who was hired as advisor II in the congresswoman’s office, would have received the order to transfer “more than 2,000 soles” of her salary monthly to a person linked to the parliamentarian.
Added to this series of salary cuts is another claim by workers. According to their statements, during the representation weeks, when congressmen receive an extra bonus, they were the ones who assumed Vásquez’s logistical expenses. In a chat, an advisor confirms having delivered 1,200 soles in cash through the parliamentarian’s nephew, while she kept the entire bonus assigned by Congress.

In this regard, the president of the Ethics Commission reported that this month there will be a decision on the case popularly known as ‘Nail Clippers’.
“We must remember that unfortunately Congresswoman Vásquez has two processes in Ethics. One for alleged ‘mochassaldo’ and another for ‘nail clippers. The first is ready to go to the Plenary. The second, a month ago, the investigation process was approved and is within the deadline to be resolved and have a decision. It is in process and it is likely that within a week we will have a position on the matter,” he noted in an interview with Canal N.
Likewise, Vergara regretted that the legislator is going through health problems, however, he specified that this does not prevent the process from continuing.
