Registrations for the delivery of supplies to construction workers resumed
This Monday the summer construction license period came to an end and with the return to activity, work intensified at the SUNCA Cerro Largo Departmental Headquarters.
Thus, registration was resumed for the delivery of sets of supplies to children and adolescents, children of workers in the sector, who during 2025 made contributions to the Social Construction Fund.
In December, the first part of the period had developed where the process was slower than initially expected.
“We are resuming the activity so that our colleagues can send us the documentation for the sets of study supplies because the deadline inevitably expires on Thursday, January 29” he remarked Walter Moraiz.
“There will be no extra or additional deadline for those who are left behind. Everything expires at the end of the month and those who do not come will be left without the benefit” he warned.
From the beginning it was reported that there would be no extensions in the deadline due to changes implemented in the purchase of supplies and clothing. It is estimated that the corresponding delivery will be made in mid-February.
“The Social Fund called for a tender, the winning company was El Clon. In the departments where it does not have branches, it arrives alone. This is the case of Cerro Largo, Salto, Treinta y Tres and other departments.” commented to THE DIARY PROFESSIONAL.
The response of the workers in the first days of the registration period did not meet the expectations of the Social Fund Reference. “It was done slowly. Personally I thought we were going to have a massive influx and we barely exceeded 100 registered for initial education and a similar number for schoolchildren” revealed.
“We were based on the largest works, LUMIN for example, but it was not like that. Nothing changed” Moraiz assured.
“I have the hope and expectation that my colleagues will come forward and bring the documentation within the remaining period, which is two weeks or so, because on the 30th I have to send all the information. Afterwards there are no complaints and there is no right to anything.” he insisted.
He recalled that workers who want to access the benefit must appear at the SUNCA Headquarters, in Colon between Mata and Navarrete, with a salary receipt from January 2025 to January 2026, proof of study of the minor, identity card of the worker and identity card of the child or adolescent. In the case of schoolchildren, tunic size and shoe size.
OTHER PROCEDURES
“Not that we opened this Monday, January 12, we worked half-way as they usually say because we were still doing FOSVOC and FOCER procedures” said Walter Moraiz.
“These are procedures that we cannot leave because the worker needs both things. If he does a loan procedure for the FOSVOC, he is needing the materials, if he does the FOCER procedure the same thing” held.
