According to Trump, these countries will have an immediate tariff on all commercial transactions carried out with the United States.

“Effective immediately, any country doing business with the Islamic Republic of Iran will pay a 25% tariff on all transactions carried out with the United States of America,” Donald Trump announced on his social network.

“This order is final and unappealable,” he added.

Protests

Trump’s announcement comes as the Tehran regime faces one of the biggest waves of protests of recent years.

This Sunday (11) and Monday, Tehran also registered pro-regime acts of the Islamic Republic and to criticize the violent demonstrations of recent days.

Yesterday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that peaceful protests are tolerated in the country, but that the recent disturbances are provoked by “terrorists from abroad”, to justify an invasion by the US and Israel.

In response to the protests, which are now spreading across the country, the Iranian authorities have responded with lethal force towards the population. According to non-governmental organizations, there are records of at least 600 deaths.

In recent days, the American president has repeated threats of intervention in Iran. Donald Trump stated that he has “very strong” options, including the military route, and also added that he is in contact with Iranian opposition leaders.
