As a result of the accusation presented by the Public Ministry (MP), Eladio Castillo Pabón (59) was sentenced to serve 11 years and eight months in prison in the state of Táchira; after he admitted his responsibility in the sexual abuse of a four-year-old boy.
The incident was discovered on October 12, 2025 after a complaint received by officials of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) in the town of Guarimito; located in the Ayacucho municipality of the aforementioned entity.
During the aforementioned date, GNB members received an accusation from a community resident about the sexual abuse committed by Pabón against the four-year-old minor.
With this information, a military commission traveled to the aforementioned town and found the victim’s mother at the site; who reported that the 50-year-old took advantage of the friendly relationship with the family to have the child under his care.
According to the parent’s story, hours before returning to the perpetrator’s home and after seeing through a crack, she observed that Castillo Pabón had the child sitting on her legs without his lower garments, while he had his member visible. Upon realizing this, the lady broke into the property to take the child from the place.
After medical evaluations confirmed old injuries, the man was apprehended in flagrante delicto inside his home and placed under the command of the MP.
The 9th Control Court of Táchira ordered his confinement in the Western Penitentiary Center; located in Santa Ana del Táchira.
