People around the world continue in the streets demanding the release of Maduro and Flores

During this weekend, thousands of people in various countries around the world continue to demonstrate in the streets demanding the release of President Nicolás Maduro and the first lady, Cilia Flores, who have been kidnapped by the US government since last January 3 after an armed attack against Venezuela.

This Saturday, thousands of people gathered in the Mexican capital to stage a demonstration in rejection of the US military intervention against Venezuela and to demand the immediate release of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and the first combatant, Cilia Flores.

Rejection of the US attack and threats against Venezuela grows in Italy

Italy is today the scene of a growing movement in rejection of the aggressive imperialist policy of the United States, against the recent attack on Venezuela and the kidnapping of its president, Nicolás Maduro along with his wife, Cilia Flores.

The demonstrations, which spread throughout the country last Saturday, have had a wide impact on the local news media, with reports in important newspapers such as La Stampa, La Repubblica and Il Sole 24 Ore, as well as on the main radio and television networks, which reviewed the magnitude of the popular protest.

The demonstrations spread during that last day through Rome, Milan, Brescia, Turin, Venice, Bologna, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Rimini, Ravenna, Imola, Faenza, Genoa, Pisa, Florence, Siena, Lucca, Perugia, Ancona, Bari, Lecce, Brindisi, Barletta, Gaeta, Naples, Catanzaro, Potenza, Cagliari and Palermo.

Activists from the Power to the People, Communist Refoundation, Patria Socialista and Communist Network parties participated, along with members of the Base Trade Union Union and other unions, members of the youth organizations Cambiare Rotta, Alternativa Student Opposition and the National Italy-Cuba Friendship Association (Anaic). Also from the Latin American Progressive Platform, the La Villetta per Cuba association, the Historical Pact of Italy, the social organizations ARCI and CRED, the Palestinian Student Movement and the Self-Organized University Collective

The protesters expressed their solidarity with the Bolivarian political process and demanded respect for the sovereignty of Caracas, as well as the need to expand the struggle, at the international level, against the hegemonic appetite of US imperialism, state terrorism and the current application of the colonialist Monroe Doctrine.

Students and young people from Nepal demand that the US respect Venezuela

In a letter addressed to President Donald Trump, the Nepal Revolutionary Students Union and the Nepal Revolutionary Youth Union denounced the imperialist acts of the US administration and strongly urged that all aggressive actions cease.

The organizations associated with the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) represent all Nepalese students and youth who love peace and the working class, the letter highlights.

According to the letter, the anti-imperialist students and youth gathered in the streets of Kathmandu, demanded that the United States guarantee peace and stability in the Caribbean and Latin America, in strict compliance with international law and its commitment to non-aggression anywhere in the world.

The first step must be the immediate and unconditional release of the Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, Cilia Flores, the organizations stated.
