Can we say that the situation has gone down? We can’t even say that there is a feeling that it has gone down,” he says.
Executive minimizes the transportation strike on January 15

Meanwhile, the prime minister, Ernesto Alvarez diverted the real reasons for the demonstration to link them to the proximity of the elections.

“Unfortunately, yes (there are colluding transporters). Just as there are bad police officers, there are bad prosecutors, there are also bad transporters who are in various areas, who provide information or even join criminal gangs. In other words, the transport sector is a very complex sector and is tinged with informality, even formal companies,” he noted.
At the same time, he assured that a transportation strike will not “solve the problem of insecurity,” since the results of the fight against crime will only be seen in “several years.”
He concluded by promising that they will continue meeting with Martín Ojeda: “He is a person close to the PCM and close to the Minister of Transportation. We have had a multitude of meetings before, but according to experience, they do not suspend their strikes once they announce them.”
Despite these, according to the premier, “continuous meetings”, Ojeda has publicly indicated that the change of command from Dina Boluarte to José Jerí has not generated results, that the promises have not been fulfilled and have only been referred to states of emergency.
