Members of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) located the lifeless body of Jesús Emmanuel Muñoz, 25 years old, in an area of sugarcane fields in the Corinsa sector, in the town of Cagua, Sucre municipality, after several days of searching.
The Homicide Brigade of the Cagua Municipal Delegation carried out the alleged arrest of four people linked to the case.
According to regional media, the suspects provided precise information about the location of the body during interrogations. In the procedure, the authorities also recovered the motorcycle that belonged to the victim.
At the scene of the event, experts in Criminalistics and Planimetry collected evidence and transferred the body to the National Service of Medicine and Forensic Sciences (Senamecf) in Caña de Azúcar.
The body presented an advanced state of decomposition and multiple wounds caused by a knife, especially in the neck region, which suggests cruelty against the integrity of the young man. The results of the autopsy confirmed the severity of the injuries that caused death.
Muñoz worked in a well-known restaurant in the Las Ballenas area, in Maracay; He was described by those close to him as a calm person. The scientific police maintain active investigations to clarify the motive for the crime and determine the exact responsibility of each of the detainees.
