The Rionegro Health Secretariat warned about the overcrowding of emergencies due to influenza and high patient demand.
The Ministry of Health of Rionegro (Antioquia) launched an alert for the overcrowding of emergency services of the IPS enabled in the municipality, exceeding the contingency plans defined by each of the health institutions.
The Secretary of Health, Silvia Paulina Rendón Rendónindicated that said overoccupation is due to a high peak of influenza in the municipality, in addition to the high demand of patients with underlying chronic diseases and difficulties with medication delivery.
