Unitary Platform asks that releases continue until all political prisoners are covered

The message of the Unitary Platform in support of Cardinal Baltazar Porras: calls to respect the faith of Venezuelans

The Democratic Unitary Platform celebrated this Thursday night the release of a group of political prisoners and reiterated its demand that the measure be applied to all people detained for political reasons in Venezuela.

Through a statement broadcast on the social network Biagio Pilieri (@BiagioPilieri) and Enrique Márquez (@ENRIQUEMARQUEZP), three innocent Venezuelans who, until this moment (10:15 pm), are the only compatriots released.”

The organization also specified that “they are joined by four citizens of Spanish nationality who have also been released,” raising the number of people released to seven as of the closing of this edition.

However, the Unitary Platform He insisted that releases must continue until all those detained for political reasons are covered. “We hope that in the next few minutes more releases will materialize, until we achieve the freedom of ALL political prisoners, since so far we only have confirmation of the release of 7 citizens,” he said.

Meanwhile, relatives of numerous political prisoners remained outside different detention centers in the country, waiting for news about the possible release of their loved ones.

The Unitary Platform closed its statement by reiterating its commitment to the defense of human rights and the fight for the freedom of all Venezuelans unjustly detained.
