“Old songs always new” in Fine Arts

“Old songs always new” is the tribute concert to Teresita Fernández that will be presented this Sunday, January 11, at 3:00 pm, in the Theater Room of the Cuban Art Building of the National Museum of Fine Arts. With script and artistic direction by Rubén Darío Salazar, the show rescues lesser-known gems from the songbook of the endearing Cuban troubadour.

The performance will be led by Olga Blanco, with more than 30 years of experience, who will sing 14 songs accompanied by the Gabi and Sofi Children’s Company, Freddy Maragotto, puppeteer actors from Teatro de Las Estaciones and the musicians Irina Madrazo, Doly Díaz, Patricia García and Raúl Valdés.

The staging includes comprehensive design by Zenén Calero, choreography by Gelsys González and Yadiel Durán, musical direction by Raúl Valdés Lima and graphic design by Dyan Barceló. A tribute taken care of down to the last detail, one of those that reconciles memory and the future.

When: Sunday, January 11, 3:00 pm

Where: Theater Room. Cuban Art Building. National Museum of Fine Arts. Trocadero Street between Zulueta and Monserrate, Old Havana

How much: 30 CUP
