In the message, broadcast through his Instagram account, Rodríguez stated that “Venezuela reaffirms its vocation for peace and peaceful coexistence” and that the country aspires to live “without external threats, in an environment of respect and international cooperation.” according to the BBC.
The interim president stressed that she considers it “a priority to move towards a balanced and respectful international relationship between the US and Venezuela”, based on “sovereign equality and non-interference.”
Besides, extended a direct invitation to the US Government to work “jointly on a cooperation agenda, aimed at shared development, within the framework of international legality.”
Conciliation of the Chavista Government with the US?

Trump reiterates that the US is in charge of Venezuela
According to The CountryRodríguez’s conciliatory message comes while US President Donald Trump maintains a posture of pressure and warnings towards the new Venezuelan authorities.

Rodríguez spoke less than 48 hours after US attack that led to the kidnapping of Nicolás Madurowho is accused of narcoterrorism in the United States and whose release has been demanded by the Chavista Government.
