SANTO DOMINGO.- A Dominican with American nationality filed a lawsuit for damages against the Dominican State for one billion pesos, under the allegation of having been defrauded with 15 land tasks by the Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD).
José Pinales, who resides in the United States, said that the case, which involves the State, is being heard in the Second Chamber of the Civil and Commercial Chamber of the Court of First Instance of the National District.
Pinales, who is a tennis coach in the United States, He indicated that the last hearing of the case was held last year. The plot is located in San Felipe, in Villa Mella.
He assured that he acquired those lands more than 35 years ago with the purpose of building a computer and sports school, to stimulate children to work on their integral development.
“That was the idea when acquiring these lands, however, everything has been cut short because the IAD has interfered with that private propertyof which I have the title, so it has spent 35 years in limbo, and I have not been able to fulfill the dream of transforming lives,” he said.
He assured that the most affected have been the children, who have not had the opportunity to train as computer technicians or sports technicians.
“The government has had the opportunity to resolve this problem before the demand, and not only that, They have done great harm to children. all these years, because they have taken away the opportunity to create that school so that children can learn different disciplines,” he lamented.
“This is what I do in the United States, teach children, therefore, the only ones who have lost are those infants that we want to help,” he said.
