A young university student died tragically after the motorcycle he was riding with his girlfriend and was being pulled by another vehicle, was violently collided by a motorcycle on the Piura-Chiclayo highwayat the Catacaos intersection, near the Balanza area, in Piura.
The incident occurred on the night of January 1, when the victim identified as Piero Alexander Chapilliquén Araujo, 23, was riding the motorcycle and was accompanied by his girlfriend.
Said minor vehicle, which had suffered a mechanical failure, was pulled by another vehicle driven by a family member and taken to the city of Piura.
But when he arrived near the Catacaos intersection and before the toll plaza, he was violently collided by a motorcycle, whose driver was detained in that area.
Due to the strong impact, Chapilliquen ceased to exist instantly, after serious blows to the head and other parts of the body, leaving him lying at the scene, while his lover was injured.

The police officers and the criminal prosecutor on duty arrived at the scene to remove the body, which was transferred to the morgue of the Public Ministry of this town, where the victim’s loved ones and friends arrived.
Meanwhile, yesterday, the authorities and the relatives and lawyers of the deceased and the person intervened participated in the proceedings of the Police Technical Inspection carried out at the place where the unfortunate accident occurred.
One of those close to the victim’s family asked the authorities in charge of the case to resolve the events according to the law.
Alexander Chapilliquén Araujo was a student at the National University of Piura and would be kept awake at his home, where his friends arrived to express their condolences to his loved ones.
