The accident occurred on the morning of Friday, January 2, because the buildings were made of rustic material, which caused them to catch fire quickly. Although the intervention of the neighbors with the help of a cistern with water prevented the fire from spreading to the rest of the houses. Likewise, the firefighters completely controlled the incident.
While in Piura, another fire broke out in a house on block K in the La Molina 2 sector. Likewise, a 90-year-old man living in the house was affected and was transferred to Santa Rosa Hospital to receive medical attention.
