Santo Domingo.- A failure in the Line 1 of the Santo Domingo Metro has caused disruption to the movement of thousands of users, as regular service between stations has been interrupted. Center of Heroes and Mama Tingor, according to passengers reported this Tuesday morning.
According to testimonies collected at the scene, the trains are stopping at the Hermana Mirabal stationforcing passengers heading towards Mama Tingó to dismount and look for alternatives to complete their journey.
“From Hermana Mirabal we have to get off, cross to the opposite road or take alternative transportation to get there,” said one of the affected users, visibly upset by the situation.
The Office for the Reorganization of Transport (Opret) has issued a official statement in which he explains the suspension of the service due to the breakdown.
lThe interruption has caused delayscrowds and complaints among passengers, who demand more information and a timely response from the authorities.
Given this scenario, users are recommended plan alternate routes while working on solving the problem.
