The Battle of Faith overcomes the rain and reaffirms its tradition in its 62nd edition

Santo Domingo.– It rained incessantly for much of the day and, despite this, The Battle of Faith fulfilled its mission from beginning to end, keeping alive a tradition that reached its 62nd edition and that is characterized by bringing together a significant part of the evangelical community of Dominican Republic.

Before four in the afternoon, the time announced for the formal start of the event, some singers were already on the stage of the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium, while the rain fell on the place.

The stands were almost completely occupied and, judging by the colors of the umbrellas and the plastic covers used as a cape, everyone made provisions in their own way to face the rains associated with a trough that affected a large part of the national territory and that had caused weather alerts.

Before thousands of people, probably a number greater than the 30,000 ballots delivered by the organizers, Pastor Ezequiel Molina Rosario, founder of the rally, focused his annual message on a direct warning to society.

In his preaching, he called the attention of civil society, political actors and different power entities for decisions made to the detriment of citizens, with special mention to administrative corruption and the loss of fundamental values.

Molina Rosario maintained that social ills are not corrected only with late programs or temporary measures, but with training, example and responsibility from the family nucleus, pointing out that the moral crisis that society is going through has deeper roots that require sustained commitment and coherence between discourse and practice.

At the event, people prayed for different reasons. There were requests for the restoration of the altars in the country as a guarantee of a blessed year, by the Dominican nation, by the president and the authorities, as well as by the United States, a country described as a friend and key to a spiritual reconnection.
The prayers, carried out in the characteristic style of the evangelical community, were energetic, direct and emotionally charged.

Representing the civil authorities, the presence of the mayor of the National District, Carolina Mejía, stood out.

Mayors Betty Gerónimo and Dío Astacio were also present, as well as political figures such as Johnny Pujols, general secretary of the Dominican Liberation Party; the deputy Carlos de Pérez, from Fuerza del Pueblo, and the mayor of La Romana, Eduardo Kery Metivier, among others.
The Battle of Faith 2026 was called “The Day of God.”

The assembly occupied the stands of the stadium and a small front space intended for the VIP area, the press, the multimedia equipment and the installation of mobile bathrooms.

As explained by Ezequiel Molina, the event had an approximate cost of 15 million pesos, covered through voluntary offerings.

During the day, the presence of Israeli flags was visible, even in greater numbers than the Dominican ones, which responds to the belief of some evangelical sectors that link the Jewish people with a special blessing, in accordance with their biblical interpretation.

In the musical aspect, Christian groups and artists such as World Worship, Cales Louima, Chembo and the special participation of René González participated, who accompanied the development of the program between praise and adoration.
