New Year: Gael, Jassiel and Enzo, are the first babies born in 2026

Gael, Jassiel and Enzo were the first babies to be born during the first hours of 2026 in Social Health Security (EsSalud) establishments. The first was born in Callao, the second in Madre de Dios and the third in Tacna, births that represent hope and new beginnings for their respective families.

In the midst of the celebrations for the arrival of the New Year, the Luis Negreiros Vega National Hospital, of the Sabogal Benefit Network, received little Gael at 1:42 in the morning. The newborn weighed 3 kilos 300 grams, measured 51 centimeters and was in good health.

Gael is the second son of Natalia Berru Chamduvi and Teddy Rodríguez Tang. The birth occurred through natural childbirth and the parents, residents of Puente Piedra, expressed their excitement and joy at the arrival of the new member of the family.

Minutes later, at 2:04 in the morning, the Víctor Alfredo Lazo Peralta Hospital, of the Madre de Dios Assistance Network, celebrated the birth of Jassiel. The baby came into the world weighing 3 kilos 670 grams and measuring 51 centimeters.

The mother, Anabel Mancilla Alarcón, gave birth through a natural birth, without complications, and both she and her son received timely and specialized care.

Finally, at Hospital III Daniel Alcides Carrión, of the Tacna Benefit Network, another birth occurred in the first hours of the new year. After a brief wait, Enzo was born at 3:02 in the morning, becoming the third EsSalud baby to reach the world in 2026.

The newborn, son of María Vilca Marca and Edwin Quispe Humanrica, came into the world through natural birth, weighing 3 kilos 410 grams and measuring 50 centimeters.

Visibly moved, Marca expressed her joy at the arrival of her baby: “Happy new year. I feel very happy to be with my baby in my arms. I want to heartily thank the gynecologist, the obstetricians, the nurses and all the medical staff at EsSalud who cared for me from the moment I was admitted for emergency.”, he stated.
