Venezuela congratulates Cuba on the 67th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution

206 years from Boyacá, Caracas ratifies validity of the Bolivarian ideal

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressed its congratulations to the people and Government of Cuba for the commemoration of the 67th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.

Through a statement published by Foreign Minister Yván Gil on his Telegram channel, Venezuela extended “its deepest and fraternal congratulations to President Miguel Díaz-Canel, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz and the heroic people of Cuba.”

The official text indicates that the memorable heroic deed of the Cuban people more than six decades ago opened an irreversible horizon of dignity, sovereignty and social justice, not only for the largest of the Antilles, but also for all of our America.

“That dawn of 1959 not only represented a new dawn for our sister Cuba, it was the birth of hope that lit the torch of dignity and hope for all the people of America and the world fighting for their definitive independence.”

In that sense, the Bolivarian Government stated that it reiterates its admiration for the people of Cuba, for being “an example of dignity, humanism and revolutionary firmness.”
