Coup against the Gulf Clan in Antioquia leaves two dead, a leader captured and weapons seized.
On the morning of this Wednesday, December 31he National Army confirmed that, in the middle of military operations developed to guarantee the security during the end of the yearwere two members of the Gulf Clan killed in the municipality of Andes, Antioquia.
According to the official report, during the same operation the troops achieved the capture of one of the main ringleaders of this criminal structure that commits crimes in the region.

Details of the military operation
He Brigadier General Carlos Eduardo Caycedo Bocanegracommander of the Fourth Brigade of the National Armyprovided details about the operation carried out in the last hours.

Capture of ringleader with court order
Regarding the captured leader, the authorities reported that he is alias “Pablo”who had a current arrest warrantpresumably by homicide of a member of the National Police occurred in the month of May in the municipality of Sopetran, Antioquia.
“During the combat, this individual was injured, for which the soldiers, in strict compliance with the International Humanitarian Lawthey gave him first aid and was later sent to the city of Medellin to receive specialized medical care,” added General Caycedo Bocanegra.
Once he recovers, alias “Pablo” will be made available to the competent authorities to answer for the crimes he is accused of.
