The DGII would collect more than RD$913,141 million in 2025

DGII collections amount to 11 % in July

The collections of the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) would total 913,141.9 million pesos at the end of this year 2025, an amount that represents a growth of 7.9% compared to 2024.

The figure would represent 100.9% compliance with the goal established in the reformulated budgetequivalent to 8,343.3 million of pesos above what was estimated, according to the DGII through a press release.

Likewise, projected a collection in December of 80,325.8 million pesos, for a growth of 15.5%, equivalent to an additional 10,818.5 million compared to the same month of 2024, representing a compliance of 109.7%, equivalent to 7,111.9 million pesos more than estimated.

  • The institution highlighted the reduction of evasion of the tax on the transfer of industrialized goods and services (ITBIS) to 36.5%, its lowest historical level, according to a report carried out by the DGII together with the International Monetary Fund “which shows not only greater formalization and compliance by taxpayers, but also the efficiency of the tax administration in terms of controls, transparency and modernization.”

As for the formalizationthe institution incorporated 4,567 new taxpayerssmall and medium, simplified tax regime (RST) during the period January-December 2025.

The RST is part of the institution’s commitment to facilitate and reduce indirect costs of compliance with the tax obligations of the liberal professionalsmicro and small businesses.

Likewise, the DGII paid in 2025 2,246.9 million of pesos for the concept of 9,017 housing bonds low cost, benefiting the same number of families.

Electronic billing

In the area of electronic billingthe institution reached a total of 15,616 taxpayers electronic emittersof which 6,677 use the free biller and 7,814 are in the certification process.

During this period, more than 1,331 million of electronic tax receiptsand it has 112 suppliers of services electronic billing authorized.

Another of the achievements was the alliance with the Reserve Bank to enable a new payment method for taxes with credit cardexpanding options for taxpayers and promoting financial inclusion through more agile and secure services.
