“Tomorrow we wait for the population to enjoy, to say goodbye to 2025 and to welcome the New Year. It is one of the most important parties we are going to have. (…) We must remember that last year we had the Reforma pilgrimage. This year we do not have the Reforma pilgrimage. That is a big difference, because the sections of Reforma were full, next to the Angel with the tents, which precisely impeded people’s mobility,” said the president.

The Secretary of Government, César Cravioto Romero, reported that the agency under his charge works in coordination with the Secretariats of Citizen Security (SSC) and Civil Protection (SGIRPC), as well as with the Legal Department and the Administrative Verification Institute (Invea), in order to safeguard the attendees, whose number is estimated to be greater than last year.
“It’s going to be extraordinary. I think it’s going to surpass last year’s Polymarchs and we are organizing ourselves to take care of several things,” he said.
The official added that care will be taken to ensure that it is an event free of violence, mainly in the Reforma area; that there are no people selling food that is prepared using gas tanks or fryers that could put people at risk, and that alcohol is not sold on public roads, or after the permitted hours in the case of establishments that have it authorized.
“We have an entire operation, I insist, organized with these departments of the City Government: Government Secretariat, Citizen Security, Legal Department, INVEA and Civil Protection; we are going to be very attentive, so that it is a festival of lights and good electronic music,” highlighted the secretary.
