The National Police of Peru carried out permanent security, monitoring and inter-institutional coordination actions to maintain order in the area.

The mud and stone slides affected more than 150 meters of the road, forcing the suspension of the transit of cargo and passenger vehicles, generating economic losses for merchants and transporters. The District Municipality of Pozuzo, with the support of private machinery, carried out cleaning work, although these were temporarily suspended due to new landslides and the high risk for personnel.

Although the pass is already enabled, authorities urged drivers to drive with extreme caution, avoid traveling at night and respect traffic signs, due to the instability of the hills during the rainy season.
Finally, Senamhi warned that rainfall will continue in the jungle, including the Pasco region, so the occurrence of new landslides and rock falls in the coming days is not ruled out.
