In the midst of a state of emergency in which Piura has been in since last week due to the high crime rate due to extortion and homicides, some criminals launched and detonated an explosive device in a home owned by a taxi driver, in the district of Veintisis de Octubre. The detonation occurred when the family was having dinner.
This new act of violence that caused anxiety among the residents was recorded at 11:04 pm last Sunday in a home located in block A, lot 13, of the Las Malvinas human settlement, in the district of Veintisirse de Octubre.
According to the first police investigations, unknown persons threw an explosive device at the entrance to the house, which alarmed its owner, taxi driver VH.PV- (45 years old), who was having dinner at the time of the detonation.

Faced with the loud noise, both the taxi driver and his family ran to protect themselves and fortunately no one was injured.
As a result of the explosion, several windows and doors were completely shattered.
The security guards from the district municipality of Veintisirse de Octubre arrived at the scene to protect the area and experts from the Criminalistics Office (Oficiri) of the Criminal Investigation Division (Divincri) arrived to begin investigations into the case and identify the author or authors of this incident.
It was learned that the taxi driver had not received any messages or extortion calls in recent weeks, much less had any problems with anyone.
Meanwhile, the police from the extortion section have begun collecting images from the security cameras found around the house to try to identify the people who threw the explosive and capture them immediately.
