The president of Parliament, Fernando Rospigliosi, explained to Perú21 that the document of Constitutional Complaint 114 against the former congresswoman for alleged constitutional infringement and the alleged commission of the crime of incompatible negotiation, was never among the approaches to be reviewed this Monday and that it was a “confusion.”
“No, he was never there, he was not summoned so he could not be seen. (It was a) confusion because it is on the agenda like 50 other issues,” the head of the Legislature told this newspaper.
This Monday’s session lasted two hours and was the last of the year of the Permanent Commission, so the report of the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations (SAC) against Vásquez will have to wait until the next legislature. The former congresswoman is running for the Senate list for Ahora Nación, Alfonso López Chau’s group.
The complaint approved by the SAC accused Vásquez of carrying out alleged arbitrary acts during her term as interim president of Congress for remuneration increases and appointment, a few days after completing her term, of functions to certain workers, without taking into account what is established at the regulatory and normative level, and without the approval of the Board of Directors of Congress.
