Santo Domingo. – An anticyclone will continue to affect the Dominican territory, maintaining a mostly clear environment and with little rainfall, however, a frontal system will approach the country on Wednesday and will cause downpours in several provinces, the Dominican Institute of Meteorology reported this Monday. Meteorology (Indomet).
The agency explained that for this Tuesday a low probability of rain is expected in much of the country, due to the persistence of the anticyclone that limits the formation of significant cloudiness.
However, on Wednesday the approach of a cold front is expected in the area of Cuba, which will generate rain in southwestern and southern provinces such as Pedernales, Barahona, Azua and Peravia, as well as in towns in Cibao and the Eastern region, including Duarte and El Seibo.

Indomet indicated that the rainfall could also reach San Cristóbal, San Pedro de Macorís, San José de Ocoa, Monseñor Nouel, Juan Sánchez Ramírez, Monte Plata, Samaná, Hato Mayor, María Trinidad Sánchez, Santo Domingo and the National District.
