US officials told The New York Times that Trump was referring to a facility linked to drug trafficking in Venezuela, although they declined to provide details about the alleged operation.

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, assured that his government destroyed “a large facility” as part of the military offensive against drug trafficking linked to Venezuela, although he avoided specifying the exact location of the operation.

“They have a large plant or facility where the ships come from. Two nights ago we dismantled it. So we dealt them a very hard blow,” said the president during a radio interview, without providing evidence or additional information.

The statements were offered in The Cats & Cosby Showfrom the station WABC from New York, hosted by Rita Cosby and businessman John Catsimatidis. In that space, the president also maintained that, thanks to his offensive, drug trafficking to the United States has been reduced by more than 97%.

Trump once again issued warnings against Nicolás Maduro and insisted that Chavismo “took away” oil that, according to him, belonged to the United States, and reiterated the accusation that Venezuela has sent millions of people from prisons to US territory.
