Officials from the Bolivarian Police Corps of the Zulia state went to the Pradera Alta neighborhood, in the city of Maracaibo, after receiving an alert from the Ven 911 system about an alleged case of sexual abuse against a 10-year-old girl.
Upon arriving at the scene, the uniformed officers found several neighbors gathered in front of the home of an 81-year-old man, accused of having taken the minor home by deception. Witnesses reported that a resident observed the situation through a window and began to ask for help, which allowed the community to be alerted.
They indicated that the girl later left a room without clothes.
It was known that he was in a vulnerable situation, so the Council for the Protection of Children and Adolescents was notified, whose representatives went to the site to guarantee his safety and activate the corresponding protocols.
