This weekend, agents of the National Police dismantled the criminal gang “Los Sanguinarios del Tren”, a faction in Lima Sur of the transnational organization of the Aragua Train, involved in the crime of extortion, illegal possession of ammunition and homicide.
During the police intervention in the Ate, Chorrillos and Villa El Salvador districts, Alejandro Vega (33), Yohan Monsalve (18), José Yegres (23) and Cirilo Velásquez (66)the first three of Venezuelan nationality.
According to investigations by the Criminal Investigation Directorate (Dirincri), the detainees had participated in attacks against public transport companiesveterinary clinics, construction sites, mechanical workshops, restaurants, among other businesses. It is worth mentioning that during the police operation in Chorrillos, a personnel from the Directorate of Special Operations were injured after being attacked by a pitbull breed dog. He was immediately transferred to the PNP Luis N. Sáenz National Hospital, with a stable prognosis.
