Brazilian striker Givanildo Vieira de Souza, better known as “Hulk”, renewed his contract with Atlético Mineiro, the last champion of the Brazilian League, until December 2024, when he will be 38 years old.
The agreement with the Belo Horizonte club includes a clause to automatically extend the contract for one more season, until the end of 2025, in case the prodigious attacker plays a minimum number of games in 2024.

Hulk, now 35 years old, has played for Mineiro since January 2021, when he decided to end his successful adventure in Chinese football and return to his native country.
From the beginning, he dazzled the fans of the Albinegro team based on goals and titles.
In just one season, Hulk won with the “roosters” the Brazilian Super Cup, the Brazilian Championship -a title that broke a 50-year drought-, the Brazilian Cup and the Mineiro Championship, the regional tournament that brings together the best teams in the state of Minas Gerais.
On an individual level, he was the top scorer in the League, with 19 goals, and in the Brazilian Cup, with eight goals.
Adding all the competitions, Hulk played 74 games, in which he scored 42 goals and distributed 11 assists.
And in this 2022 he seems to be still plugged in, since he currently has an average of one goal per game.
