Deputy Schneider summons Senator Kast for a message against the approval of abortion in the CC Plenary

the deputy, Emilia Schneider (Commons), summoned the senator, Philip Kast (Evópoli), through social networks, after the latter criticized the approval in the plenary session of the Constitutional Convention of the initiative that seeks to decriminalize abortion.

“Free abortion without cause and without time. They continue to work to divide Chile instead of building everyone’s house,” Evópoli’s representative wrote on Twitter.

Given this, the Commons parliamentarian criticized Kast for lying, since she clarified that if the new Constitution is approved, it will be a law that will define the times and conditions of the norm.

“This is a lie! The law will be in charge of regulating the right to legal abortion in times and conditions. The Constitution does not work by itself as a normative body,” Schneider replied on Twitter.

the conventional, Jorge Baraditalso joined the summons to the senator from La Araucanía.

“This guy is a liar. The interruption of pregnancy was approved but leaving the determination of conditions and times to the LAW. It is a LIE that you can abort up to 9 months. ENOUGH caricaturing and misrepresenting the work of the conventional”, said Baradit via Twitter.

The norm will now pass to the draft of the new Magna Carta, which means that the State has more protagonism in the matter.
