Authorities of the national government held a pleasant meeting with the Servants of Jesus, a congregation founded by the first saint of Venezuela, Mother Carmen Rendiles.
The Minister of Popular Power of Public Works, Juan José Ramírez Luces, and the mayor of Caracas, A/J Carmen Meléndez, were present at this meeting, where they shared a lunch and talked about different issues of values for the Venezuelan people.
In that sense, Ramírez Luces highlighted the “legacy of our Saint, who encourages us to continue working with humility for those who need it most. “There is no better way to celebrate the birth of the Child Jesus than with actions that transform lives.”
The Casa Siervas de Jesús in Caracas is the headquarters of the congregation founded by Holy Mother Carmen Rendiles, a historical and sacred place that preserves relics and personal objects of the first Venezuelan saint, and which now functions as a museum to spread her legacy of Eucharistic faith.
