JEE declares Carlos Espá's presidential plan inadmissible: Yes, I believe he has two days to correct errors

He Special Electoral Jury (JEE) of Lima Centro 1 declared the presidential plan of the political party inadmissible Yes I believemade up of Carlos EspáAlejandro Santa María and Melitza Yanzhich with a view to the General Elections 2026.

In accordance with Resolution No. 08798-2025-JEE-LIC1/JNE, the three members of the list of president and vice presidents did not present Affidavit of Resume (DJHV). THE JEE considers that it is essential that the members of the party present said documentation so that they can be audited later.

Likewise, the electoral body detected that the presidential ticket did not attach the sworn declaration of consent to participate in the 2026 Elections. In the aforementioned documentation it could also be verified whether any of the candidates have outstanding debt for civil reparation.

In addition, the JEE reminded the organization that the documents to be presented must be completed, signed and with the fingerprint of each candidate and the legal representative. Likewise, the date of subscription of the procedure must be on a date equal to or after the confirmation of the registration of the resume in the computer system.

“It is essential that they be corrected with their presentation,” ordered the JEE.

In that sense, the organization gave the party two days to correct the errors detected, under the warning that, if it does not do so, the candidate will be excluded from the General Elections.

In a show of rejection of the congressman’s Senate candidacy Jorge Montoyaa group of citizens of the heroic city of Tacna mobilized this Thursday to remove the political propaganda of the “Yes I Believe” party, whose presidential candidate is the journalist Carlos Espá.

Together with brushes, white paint and buckets, the protesters toured various sectors of the city to cover the graffiti that promoted the logo and name of the political party. The act, recorded on video and broadcast on social networks, shows citizens erasing the walls under the slogan: “No more to the terruqueadores. No more to the traitor of the people. No more to Montoya who does not represent us.”
