
A worker at a telecommunications company He was killed and his two colleagues injured when they were installing internet service. The incident occurred in the La Lechuga neighborhood of the Maracaibo municipality, in the Zulia state.
As reported by Zulia media, the deceased was identified as Argenis Matos, who worked as an internet technician for the Airtek company.
Internet technician killed by electric shock
It was known that Matos died after receiving an electric shock while installing a fiber optic connection. To carry out this job, they had to climb a pole located in the neighborhood west of Maracaibo.
The incident also left the other two members of the company’s crew with serious injuries. The injured were taken to a nearby health center, where they remain under medical observation because they remain in a delicate state of health.
While Matos was transferred to the headquarters of the National Service of Medicine and Forensic Sciences (Senamecf), on the road to the Airport, next to the Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistic Investigation Corps (Cicpc) in Zulia. The authorities are investigating the reasons why this workplace accident occurred.
