Car goes missing in the Mantaro ravine and leaves four injured in Jauja

Four people, including a minor, were injured after a car went off track this morning in the Mantaro ravine, near the Parco sector, in the province of Jauja.

The vehicle was traveling from Llocllapampa to Jauja when, for reasons that are the subject of investigation, it ended up hitting the safety railing and came to rest on the side of the road.

Members of the Acolla Highway Police arrived at the scene and helped the injured, who were transferred to the Domingo Olavegoya hospital. Those affected were identified as Miguel Vásquez Rosales (38), Luz Rosales Cervantes (55), Meliza Chucos Carhuancho (33) and the minor Deyner (7).

The accident left material damage and is being investigated by the authorities.
